It’s always important to have your jewelry appraised to ensure you can obtain accurate, quality insurance coverage for your special items. Insurance coverage makes replacing or repairing your items simple and allows you to obtain the same quality you had before. Our GIA trained and accredited jewelry appraisers work diligently to examine every detail of your items. Always evaluating your pieces’ values for the current market and accounting for any future market fluctuations in the next one to two years. Our goal is to make sure you won’t be over paying in your premiums or under covered if you needed to file a claim.
What steps must be taken to have a new jewelry appraisal completed?
To have a new jewelry appraisal completed we require an appointment be made with one of our appraisers. The appointment time can range depending on how many items you need appraised, how long they may need to clean thoroughly, and how ornate those pieces are that need to be reviewed and evaluated for value.
What is the pricing for a new appraisal and for future updates to appraisals?
Our price per individual item is $99 for a written insurance appraisal. If you have more than one item to be appraised in the same appointment, the pricing for the additional appraisals will be $79 per item.
Updates on any appraisals we have completed for you in the past will be done at no charge to you!
What is the process for getting my appraisals updated?
Updating previously appraised items in our store requires cleaning and inspecting the items in person to make sure they are healthy and in insurable condition. After we make sure they are in good health, we check to see if any of your personal information has changed (i.e. address, legal name, etc.) before we move on to establish an accurate current market value for insurance replacement value.
How often should you get your appraisals updated?
We recommend that you get your appraisals updated once a year or once every two years. With market fluctuation we want to do all we can to keep your insurance coverage pricing accurate and make sure your jewelry is always covered.

It's always important to have your jewelry appraised. If you should lose your jewelry or have it stolen, a credit card receipt isn’t going to cut it with your insurance company. Insurance companies require a detailed description of your jewelry. They require a description of the metal the stone is set in, stone information, and side stone information from a certified jewelry appraiser. Plus, jewelry values fluctuate. To ensure you’re up-to-date with its value, it’s recommended to have your jewelry appraised every two years.
